A Casual Downtown Intimate Wedding with Cocktails
These two wanted their wedding day to feel like “just a fun day out together, with the wedding happening along the way”—and that’s exactly what we created.
The afternoon began with a sweet ceremony by the water, surrounded by their chosen people. From there, we wandered around downtown, stopping at their favourite bar for a twirl, soaking in the energy and light of a summer afternoon. Stevie Nicks played on repeat and it was such a vibe.
Then they spent the evening at a new hotel bar in town, sipping drinks, sharing stories, and revelling in the easy, relaxed vibe of the day. Every moment felt playful, connected, and entirely their own.
The day ended where it all began—the harbor where they got engaged—when Cori tossed her bouquet into the water, a simple, beautiful gesture that brought the day full circle.
It wasn’t about schedules or formality. It was about being present with the people they love, laughing, dancing, and enjoying every detail of a summer day in the city.
Captured on 35mm and medium format film, the images reflect movement, light, color, and the real, joyful moments that make a wedding feel like a lived-in memory.
